It started with three friends and three electric cars.

Anton and Ilmari have been friends since kindergarten. Ilmari and Erkko met studying at Oulu University. Years later, all three of us were driving EVs — and all three of us kept hitting the same wall: when a high-voltage battery breaks, the only option offered is a brand-new pack — and the old one is written off as waste. Ilmari had worked hands-on with large-scale battery production, and he was certain these packs weren't dead.

2024 we set up a workbench in Anton's family warehouse in Keminmaa, up north, and started opening packs to find out for ourselves — and to develop a new standard. The answer was clear: a battery is not scrap. A pack can be taken apart, every module measured and tested, and rebuilt to original specification — every step documented, every battery traceable, every delivery warranted.
